The Northrune Mid-Low Rise Women's Short

The Northrune Women’s Shorts are completely made by us in Minnesota. From sewing to overlocking, every step is handled in-house—period.

These are mid-low rise shorts with a 3-inch inseam and an elastic waistband sewn directly into the base fabric to prevent any unwanted bunching. A cotton drawstring keeps the fit adjustable, and the Northrune patch on the left leg is durable and long-lasting—far sturdier than vinyl.

The fabric is a double-knit material taken from our original best-selling Northrune pant. Inside, it’s silky smooth against the skin, and outside, it has a durable, everyday-ready feel. The fabric is also wrinkle-resistant and handles sweat and daily wear effortlessly. Our signature evergreen stitching lines the interior, a small detail that marks these shorts as authentically Northrune.

We designed these shorts with cut and fit in mind. They’re flattering, comfortable, and allow full movement. It wasn’t easy—we went through 12–15 prototypes, learning from each one, before landing on this final version.

The result is a short that’s practical, durable, and made to move with you—whether you’re out on an adventure or just lounging at home.
