When it comes to vacation, everyone needs time to get away. I know for myself, I always pack way too many clothes and items, only to end up wearing the same three things over and over again. The V2 Pants are designed for exactly that kind of trip.
With the pocket fabric sewn to the full leg length and featuring 20–40% vertical stretch, it adds more flexibility for squatting and everyday activities.
Today we planted trees to help offset our carbon emissions and continue building Northrune with better practices in mind. It’s one small step in creating products with a lower impact.

The Northrune Shorts feature a forward-positioned pocket design that improves hip mobility and overall comfort. The updated construction allows for greater stretch while creating a more natural, accessible pocket opening than traditional side-seam pockets.
Inner Pocket Fabric Update
Updated inner pocket fabric for Northrune pants to a more structured feel while keeping the same black color. New fabric is higher quality and reduces wrinkling after washing and drying.

With 5 pockets, double-knee fabric, and a comfortable cut, the Northrune Pant is perfect for traveling.
Back Pocket Upgrade
Back pocket sewing process updated to occur before removing extra slack in the pocket. Originally, there wasn’t much slack, but this change improves durability. Each pocket is now sewn before attaching the legs, with the left and right legs sewn together for added strength.

This is the biggest collection we’ve ever launched, built from customer feedback, and it will serve as the foundation of Northrune—our Core Collection.
Every pant has a story — and this one begins in Minnesota. The Icelandic Athletic Pant is sewn 100% in Minnesota by us, with fabric sourced from New York. From cutting the fabric to sewing, finishing, and shipping, every step is done in-house.
As the name suggests, this is our athletic pant — built with a fabric that’s lighter and more breathable than our Utility Pant, yet still structured and durable. The purpose behind this pant is simple: to create a piece built for travel, hiking, training, and adventure. This isn’t a pant that’s meant to sit folded in a drawer. It’s meant to be worn, tested, and lived in — whether you’re on the trail, at the gym, or covered in mud. With reinforced fabric at the knees, it delivers durability where you need it most.
Now, plenty of brands can say the same — and honestly, it’s a little cliché. But here’s the difference: we don’t just talk about durability, we build it, test it, and live in it ourselves. Every stitch is ours; every method is our own, and every pair is made entirely in Minnesota. That’s what sets this pant apart.
We designed the Icelandic Pant to complement our Utility Pant — a counterpart focused on movement and breathability, while still holding up in rugged conditions. The inspiration came directly from Iceland’s raw landscapes — the volcanic rock, vibrant green moss, and rugged terrain. We wanted to create a pant that could stand up to those elements.
So, we tested it. Days of hiking, walking, rain, mud, and dirt. Trains, trails, and unpredictable weather. We put this pant through the conditions many of you face — and it held up. Strong stitching, our own unique sewing technique, and thoughtfully chosen details came together to create something we couldn’t find anywhere else on the market.
